Obituary for Norman E. Sargent

Norman E. Sargent age 82 of Webb City, Mo. passed away Thursday May 24, 2012 at National Health Care following an illness. Norman was born May 13, 1930 in Purcell, Mo. to Carl and Thelma (Benson) Sargent.
Norman was an Owner/Operator in the trucking industry until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of the Peace Tabernacle Church in Joplin. Norman married the love of his life, Hazel Forste on May 13, 1950 in Kansas City, Mo., she survives at the home.
Additional survivors include three sons, Terry Sargent of Oronogo, Jerry Sargent of Oronogo and Mike Sargent and wife Debbie of Joplin; one brother, Dwight Sargent and wife Jessie of Neck City, Mo.; two sisters, Jessie Stewart of Mesa, Az., Ruth Bohanan of Pinehurst, Id.; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Melvin and Johnny and one sister, Marcella.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Franklin Buchanan II and Franklin Buchanan I, Ministers will officiate. Burial will follow in Webb City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at Mason-Woodard Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Peace Tabernacle Church in care of the mortuary. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
