Condolence: My first coaching assignment at Webb City was with Charlie. What an experience and what fun! Charlie could connect with young athletes like no one else I ever coached with. Rest in peace my friend.

Condolence: It was a pleasure to have known Charlie. He was my mentor teacher as I entered the teaching profession over 20 years ago while serving his country at the same time. Later in life when he started to come to Southside, we got to know each other again and tell stories about teaching experiences. He was a good man with a great heart!

Condolence: Chris and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Charlie when he started teaching when I was in high school. Then again when my boys were in school. Charlie was a positive influence in many lives. A good man.

Condolence: I greatly enjoyed my years teaching with Charlie and Barbara. We were new teachers and had fun learning to "teach" kids only a few years younger than we were. I am truly sorry he is gone and am sure he will be missed.

Condolence: My condolences to Chris and the entire Meadows family. Only my dad had a greater influence in my youth than Charlie. Charlie helped give me direction so I could succeed in life. For that, I will be forever grateful. One of my fondest life's memories is running into Charlie in a field in the middle of nowhere Missouri. We were both flying for the Missouri National Guard for a drug interdiction task force. He loved being a soldier because he knew he was making a difference just like he made a difference in so many peoples life's. His "Cool Hand Luke" smile will be missed. To Charlie, we will meet again someday my brother.
